London based illustrator and silkscreen printer Melissa North has released a vibrant collection of summer inspired screen prints. We’ve 3 works from her Eternal Summer series – each a limited edition of 30. Plus 2 unique 1 of 1 screen printed Mirage works. These are hand-printed onto plywood and set in bespoke tray frames.
Melissa began work on her Mirage pieces at the start of the year. She describes them as an “ode to the printing process itself; celebrating colour, form and texture”. They are heavily inspired by her travels and feature images that she has collected from numerous locations over the years. Beautiful mood setters for any corner of a room.
Like her Mirage work, Melissa’s Eternal Summer screen prints are also inspired by her travels. She has used collage vignettes from sketchbooks and compositions taken from monoprint exploration. The bright, coloured blocks playfully draw your eye across the work, highlighting each image. While the layered effect adds a sense of nostalgia.
