It’s the perfect time to brighten up your space ahead of the autumnal tones landing and the darker nights drawing in…
We’ve work from brand new gallery artist, David Iain Brown. An abstract artist with a background in print making, David doesn’t shy away from colour and enjoys playing with form and texture, building layers and deconstructing work to create unique moments.
And we have a number of smaller expressive works in from Ann Marie Webb. These loose, playful pieces are dancing with colour and energy. She’s used a range of media on paper and canvas.
Alice Sherlock has also produced a small body of drawings, naively rendered with a mixture of water soluble and coloured pencils. There is a childlike innocence to each scene, but Alice manages to retain a similar linear and layered quality that is found in her print work.
And finally, we’re taking another look at Callum Youde’s impressive, large scale paintings – these are real statement canvases. The paintings took centre stage during our gallery opening show, and it’s a pleasure to get to enjoy them still. Viewing is highly recommended.
