Yeonjoo Cho is a contemporary artist who is based in Glasgow and Seoul. She completed a BFA (Painting) and BA (Art History) Degree in 2014 and then an MFA (Painting) in 2015 at the Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul, Korea. After re-locating to Glasgow, she graduated in 2018 from GSA having completed an MLitt in Fine Art Practice.

Many of Yeonjoo’s works are inspired from old landscape paintings, which have a distinctive cultural and historical context. However, rather than focusing on the ethnic or national identity, her works tell a narrative of a woman in a more universal sense.
