Sam Peacock’s work is inspired by rural and coastal landscapes. Using non-traditional painting techniques, Sam interprets the land working with oil base paints, varnishes, coffee grains and a variety of raw materials that are composed on a sheet of steel. He has exchanged a paint brush in favour of a blow torch to heat, meld and fuse the materials.

The finished result is a unique, highly textured, deeply coloured surface that depicts the form and flow of light across the land.
