Dundee based fine artist Lucie Robbie’s current body of work is a personal expression of isolation experienced during lockdown, rendered through oil and captured in screen prints. She questions her own connection to her work; is it a conscious or unconscious reaction to her environment.

“In order to research to my own behaviours and movements I filmed myself in various states of anxiety. The movement stills provided a visual reference to project the experience onto the canvas. This collection of works reflects upon my relationship with my mental health and physical being. Each painting represents a moment of self revelation within a time of uncertainty and instability”.

Lucie graduated with a BA(Hons) Fine Art from DJCAD 2021. We featured her work in our highlight ‘Best of Scottish Art Schools Grad Show 2021’.
