Artist and printmaker Jonathan Lawes is currently based in South East London. His work is graphic and composed – focused on form, geometry, pattern and colour. Specialising in screen printing and with a background in printed textiles, it is clear Jonathan enjoys playing with layering and combining shapes and tones in a loose and organic way, as though mimicking a weave like quality into his prints.
Jonathan graduated with a BA in Printed Textiles & Design from Leeds Arts University in 2009. He relocated to Berlin and spent 10 years living and working in the city. In 2018 he returned to the UK to continue with his artistic practice.
