Joanna Craig is fascinated by the land, its use and its ancestry. The way it is riddled with parallels and juxtapositions; from the simplicity and geological diversity of stunning landscapes and land-forms, coastlines and river mouths, to the zealous, rich experiences of culture, identity and urban life. She observes the land and translates its lines and forms, colours, and compositions into vibrant and bold artworks.
Craig graduated from ECA in 2005 with a 1st Class BA(Hons) in Sculpture. She went on to complete her Masters in 2007. She has travelled the globe extensively, from New Zealand, to Samoa, across the USA and even spent time living on the Isle of Raasay.
Craig has works held in numerous public and private collections.
