Jeremy Rossiter is an artist based in Portree on the Isle of Skye. His work falls into two categories; oil paintings and graphic design posters.

The oil paintings I do range from small studies which I can do out ‘en plein air’. The posters are inspired by the propaganda posters of the 1930’s and show off the iconic and recognisable mountains, peaks, and rock formations of the landscape.

I am inspired by the epic drama of the natural landscape and the effect of changing light and weather. I am particularly drawn to the relationship between the sky and the earth, where the two meet and when, through mist, haze or cloud, the two elements merge. I travel the UK walking and mountain hiking gaining inspiration for my work.”

Jeremy trained at the Cambridge Art School at Anglia Ruskin University.
