Isaac Aldridge is a Glasgow based painter. He sees painting as a slippery structure that provides visual bonds a surface to redefine the value of an image. The visual bonds are established through audio-visual production and the debris of passing, lived experience.

Mostly interested in oxymorons, irony and satire; where the Postdigital provokes translation and mistranslation. Image making in this way creates disruptive engagements of thought and affect where painting begins to imitate life, if only for a moment. Articulating these subtleties is what drives Isaac in his practice.

Isaac graduated from Falmouth University with a BA Fine Art 2018. He then completed his MLitt in Fine Art Practice at GSA in 2022.
