Drew Mackie is a Glasgow based artist. His art practice focuses in the fields of printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics and artists’ books.

“I am a multi-discipline artist who explores a variety of materials and mediums in the effort to achieve aesthetic perfection through ephemeral mortality. The theme of the natural world is deeply rooted in my practice; as a result I am able to tap into an unlimited resource. Most of my artworks and techniques intersect the line between art and craft in the effort of creating something which is not only beautiful but also functional. This concept seeps through each of my carefully nurtured artworks, helping them evolve and flourish into fully aesthetically pleasing specimens. Deploying a growing knowledge of techniques and processes I delve into a variety of mediums such as Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics, Installation, Book Making, Digital and Chemical Photography”.

Drew graduated from DJCAD with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2017 and completed his MLitt in Fine Art at GSA in 2018.
