Claudine O’Sullivan is an Irish artist based in Glasgow. Working across painting and works on paper, her practice is shaped through endurance running, using repeated routes as a form of research.
Rather than depicting landscape, her work translates the physical experience of movement into pared-back, abstract compositions. Through repetition and reduction, marks are distilled into structures that hold pressure, direction and duration across the surface.
Recent work has developed under the framework Movement as Method, where running, drawing and painting form a continuous process. Sequence, terrain and rhythm become compositional forces, with each piece emerging from a single, resolved gesture.
Alongside her studio practice, Claudine has collaborated with global brands including Apple and led workshops at the Royal Academy of Arts. Her work has been exhibited internationally and recognised through awards and residencies.
