Catherine Denvir’s work explores the notion of ‘once upon a timeness’ within life; stories, memories of childhood real and semi imagined. The presence of a half-understood world hovers at the centre of everything. Catherine splits her time between London and Italy and the contrast of city life and the countryside helps to feed her imagination with themes and concepts.

Her work has featured in 3×3 Magazine and the Taiwanese publication ‘The Age of European Drawing’.

“My work starts and concludes in a traditional manner, drawings on paper to oil on canvas, but via an extensive, immersive and meandering path of digital exploration. I studied at Chelsea School of Art, London”.

Catherine studied painting at the Chelsea School of Art as a mature student. She considers herself to be an emerging artist who is still exploring the medium of paint.
