Sheila Chapman say’s of this work;
“This painting was inspired by the blue lagoon in Murano (Venice), on a family trip this year. The red landing post for the ferry, and the girl’s red T-shirt, against the blue colour of the sea on a beautiful sunny day, attracted me to this composition. I also used the angles of the bridge, the boardwalk and the landing post to add a dynamism to the scene, reflecting the lively atmosphere of Murano that day.”
