THIS ARTWORK HAS BEEN SOLD.
Sigita Morkūnaitė’s inspiration for this artwork came from a poem by A.A. Jonynas –
“So if you were to lie on the ground
Down on the paving stones
And life would rush past
As a dream before your eyes
As a man leaves a store
So the soul would leave you
So the soul would leave you
Through the narrow doors of your eyes”
This outstanding hyper-realistic painting featured in Morkūnaitė’s degree show at The Glasgow School of Art 2016. She received the Essay Prize for The School of Fine Art and was joint-winner of the W O Hutcheson Prize.
It is an original oil painting on MDF.
