Based on the Novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky, its the third in my Dostoevsky series.
The women drawn is based on a portrait of Napoleon wife Josephine de beauharnais, as a visualisation of Sonia in reaction to Raskolnikov attempts to become a Napoleon type figure. The two skulls are representative of Alyona and Lizaveta.
The overall design is set too be a visual of a portrait locket and the type box is intended to be reminiscent of the head of an axe.
