This is an original oil painting on a deep-edge canvas. It is part of the the 'Mountain Studies' series of paintings : the co-ordinates in the title refer to the map position the original sketches were made from. The painting itself is of the original watercolour sketch done in situ, without reference to any photographs or other images.
By painting the sketches made in the hills, the initial energy and atmosphere of making those studies is recreated in the oil painting.
