Emma Noble

I am a printmaker working in the West Highlands of Scotland.

My work is a reaction to man-made structures, shapes and colours. I tend towards urban environments, translating the built form of the city into a layered or constructed artwork.

I investigate shape, colour, surface, pattern and texture, with collage forming a strong basis for my image making. Prints typically begin with a colour or shape idea and evolve through the print process until a balance of tone and form is reached.
